Wondercide
Introduction:
“Intense love is the protection of your loved ones by the means you need. This is how
Wondercide started in 2009-I believed that with courage, patience, and intuition, I could
save the dog Luna (Akita Husky Mix). She suffered from pesticide poisoning caused
by frequently prescribed monthly flea and tick medications and quarterly pest control services.
The invisible danger was around us and we knew nothing more. Catastrophic side effects
included chronic skin problems, liver and kidney damage, and seizures. Some
veterinarians recommended euthanizing Luna, but that was by no means an option for me. I
felt responsible for her suffering and she knew there had to be a better way. I
started investigating and found that Luna’s story was not unique. A large number of animals
and people suffer from exposure to pesticides. We use these products ourselves, with our pets, and
around our homes and lawns to protect our loved ones. Through the process
of ingredient discovery and research, I grew Luna vigorously and
founded Wonderside. With wild love and intestinal fire, I set out to make
it better. The purpose of my life has become clear-developing innovative herbal pest control
that is truly safe and equally effective so that no other family has to make the compromises
we have made.” According to the founder Stephen Boon.
What is Wondercide?
Wondercide is an eco-friendly pesticide company dedicated to providing safe alternatives
to traditionally dangerous pesticides. Wondercide’s goal is to eliminate the toxic use of
pesticides by providing safe and environmentally friendly alternatives to protect pets,
families, and homes. Stephanie Boone developed Wonderside after treating her dog Luna with
common fleas, and veterinary-prescribed tick treatment caused serious adverse effects. Her 10-
year-old pet suffered from severe seizures, persistent skin problems, and liver and
kidney damage after being poisoned with pesticides. Their portfolio of biodegradable
naturally occurring pesticides includes formulations for pets and humans, as well as items for
indoor and outdoor use.

Manufacturing Natural Pesticides:
Based in Austin, Wondercide manufactures a wide range of natural pesticides that are free
of harmful chemicals, artificial colors, perfumes, preservatives, and
pyrethrins. Wonderside’s high-quality natural and organic ingredients are as effective as the
harsh toxic chemicals they replace. Wonderside skin care products and soaps contain organic
and natural ingredients such as coconut, aloe vera, cedarwood, calendar, lavender, lemongrass,
jojoba, and citronella. An important element of Wondercide’s mission is to engage
in philanthropy and contribute to the community. The company runs a PAWSitive Impact
program that donates products to animal shelters and enables employees to earn community
service rewards during normal working hours.
Founder of Wondercide:
Stephanie Boon and Laura Alter founded Wonderside in 2009. Stephanie holds an MBA from
Baylor University focuses primarily on startups. She also founded a research and
development company, BOON, and is the CEO of the company. Laura graduated from Bentley
University with an MBA and marketing background. Since 2016, she has been Vice
President of Marketing at an Austin-based energy startup, and in 2016 she resigned as Chief
Marketing Officer. Stephanie started the business after contact with the pesticides used
to control fleas and ticks, and after Stephanie’s dog, Luna became ill.
Some veterinarians
advised her to put Luna to sleep because she was suffering from severe symptoms. Stephanie
decided not to take her choice, and she moved forward despite her shame. She found that the
problem was not unique to pets, but rather a fairly typical side effect of pesticides. Laura
helped Stephanie, who together mixed the batches of chemicals found in their research, helped
Luna recover and allowed Stephanie and Luna to enjoy themselves together for another six years.
After Luna’s recovery, they realized that they might be working on something,
and started selling Luna’s products online and at farmers’ markets. Both companies received
excellent sales and reviews. Later, Shark Tank producers heard about this amazing story.

Wondercide before Shark Tank:
Wondercide co-founder Stephanie Booth lost love in 2008 when his dog Luna became seriously
ill. Stephanie was shocked to learn that her dog suffered from pesticide poisoning caused
by regular flea and tick treatments. She noticed post-poisoning seizures, ongoing skin problems,
and liver failure. Stephanie eventually gave up using insect repellents on her pets and returned
to her health, but she is safer to use them on pets so that other pet owners can treat their pets more
effectively. I was prompted to find a good alternative. While the pet industry makes more
than $ 60 billion annually in the United States alone, most tick and flea repellents contain toxic
chemicals, and she finds a safer alternative. I promised. Real estate manager Stephanie had no
special training in chemistry. Nevertheless, she quit her job and founded Wonderside with her
friend Laura Alter. She has conducted extensive research steps to develop safer pesticides for
pets.
Wondercide products were created after two years of research and development. It was
completely chemical-free, contained only organic components, and was completely safe for all
uses, including use around animals, children, homes, and gardens. Wondercide then
launched the product on its website. It took months to get up and running, but in
the end, it generated millions of annual revenues. Stephanie and Laura needed shark
support and investment to grow their business further. They appeared on the show in March
2016 to raise awareness at major pet stores.
How was the Shark Tank Pitch of Wondercide?
Laura and Stephanie appeared on Shark Tank and demanded an investment of $ 500,000 in
exchange for a 5% stake in Wonderside. Lori Greiner offered $ 500,000 in 3% equity and $
0.50 per unit sold awaiting redemption at Wondercide. The founders of Wonderside took some
time to agree to Lori Gleiner’s offer. Final Transaction: Lori Greiner has agreed to invest $
500,000 and 50 Cent royalties in each unit sold until Lori is refunded on Wonderside.

What happened to Wonder after Shark Tank?
Stephanie and Laura were advised that entering the retail market was a dangerous offer.
However, their vision for Wondercide was to make it readily available to
potential customers. From experience, they knew that some customers didn’t want to wait
for the online ordering segment to air for the first time. Some sharks advised Stephanie and
Laura that it was dangerous to enter the retail store. Still, they had a Wondercide vision
that was readily available to their customers. They knew from experience that some customers
were willing to wait days for an order. Lori Greiner has invested $ 500,000 in hiring
key talent, including the company’s first sales representative. This is a huge achievement for a
company that has made about $ 5 million in sales without a sales representative. The addition
of a sales manager gave impressive results. According to Laura, the Wonderside brand
is currently sold in more than 650 retail stores nationwide and is in stock at several animal
welfare facilities. Since filming, Wondercide has developed 30 products for everything from
pets to lawns. For example, his natural pest control concentrate, EcoTreat, has been
touted by some gardening experts as a miracle remedy. Stephanie
recently announced that Wonderside is considering developing a vinegar-based herbicide that
kills weeds but not grass. But she admits that they are not the only ones exploring this
possibility. Recently, Laura discussed Wondercide’s success in the shark tank and what she
believes made it successful. Stephanie and Laura felt that the sharks were aware of the high
level of consumer demand for safe and effective household products and that the mission-driven nature of Wondercide made them more confident and allowed them to see their passion
for the business because Wondercide has always been more than a means of earning money
for them; it is also a means of helping ordinary families live better lives.
Wondercide Shark Tank update:
The team working on Wondercide has reached an agreement with Lori Greiner, an investor who
appeared on Shark Tank. Under the transaction terms, Greiner will invest $500,000 in return for
3% of the company and a royalty of 50 cents on each unit sold until the investment is repaid. As
a result of the transaction, Wondercide’s value has increased to $16.6 million. With the help of
this funding, Wondercide plans to hire its first key sales leader, to establish 600 new
independent retail accounts across the country for the next 12 months. This will enable the
company to expand its mission and reach more customers, educate them on the dangers of
using synthetic pesticides, and provide them with an alternative that is safe and natural.

Wondercide Synthetic Pesticides:
Wondercide provides an alternative to synthetic pesticides with a comprehensive array of
natural solutions that are both effective and safe for use around pets, children, and family
members. You can also use Wondercide products at home. Before appearing on Shark Tank,
Wondercide had already achieved year-over-year growth rates of 300 percent since its
founding and its initial product concept have already extended to include more than 30 all-natural products for people, animals, and their homes.
Growth during Choas:
Wondercide has grown at a breakneck pace since appearing on Shark
Tank and Lori’s strategic
partnership has deeply influenced the brand. The website offers shoppers a range of goods in a
variety of sizes and flavors and customized Wondercide toys from Pride Bites, another company
that landed a deal with Lori and Robert Herjavec in Season 7. The flea, tick, and other pest
populations are dropping like flies, which has helped increase sales. Lori seems to be the
perfect team for Wondercide; they are on a mission to rid the globe of pests in honor of a
beloved dog. Luna, take it easy. Your legacy endures.
Is Wondercide Still in Business?
Wondercide is still in business as of 2022, operates from its headquarters in Austin, Texas, and
has an online store offering its product line. Furthermore, the products are available
nationwide and on e-commerce sites like Amazon. Stephanie’s mission remains to educate
people about making informed decisions about the contents of the everyday items they use.
What is the Net Worth of Wondercide?
The valuation of Wondercide was $10 million when it appeared on Shark Tank. The net worth of
Wondercide is $20 million as of 2022.

How do I apply Flea & Tick Spray?
Follow label instructions for best results. Still, have questions? Check out this video for step-by-step application directions for pets. For home application with the included sprayer
attachment.
For Best Results:
Rub your pet’s coat in the opposite direction of growth, spray, and rub in. Spray the body, legs,
tail, belly, and armpits. Spritz into your hands to rub onto your pet’s ears and face. Avoid
spraying in the mouth, nose, and eyes. Do not soak your pet. Full coverage will ensure the best results.
The spray kills by contact when wet, and repels when dry.
For Dogs:
Apply every 2-3 days for pest prevention and each time before visiting untreated areas. Repeat
as needed to kill and repel fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Pest pressure differs by geography, so
you might find you use it more or less frequently. Safe for everyday use. Lemongrass oil
naturally has a yellow tint and may temporarily discolor light fur. It will wash out. We
recommend a test spray before full application.
For Cats:
Apply every 2-3 days for pest prevention and each time before visiting untreated areas. Repeat
as needed to kill and repel fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Since cats are more sensitive by nature,
we recommend a test spray an hour before a full treatment and suggest using the 4 oz. size for
a finer mist. If your cat is fearful of spray bottles, spray them into your hands and massage them onto your
cat. Lemongrass oil naturally has a yellow tint and may temporarily discolor light fur. It will
wash out.

For Homes:
Spray on carpet, hard floors, furniture, fabrics, and pet bedding. Make sure you contact all
surfaces to eliminate any existing problems. Lemongrass oil has a naturally yellow tint and may
temporarily discolor light fabrics and home surfaces. We recommend a test spray on a small,
hidden area prior to full application. For best results, use in conjunction with Flea & Tick for
Yard + Garden in any outdoor spaces.
How do I apply Flea & Tick Spray to my Yard and Garden?
Follow label instructions for best results. For step-by-step application directions.
For treatment of active problems:
Apply this powerful spray twice within 7-10 days to your outdoor areas (like the lawn and patio)
to ensure you’re eliminating whatever pests are present. Start at your home and spray top to
bottom. Continue onto the lawn, working your way back to the fence line. Walk at a steady
pace and use a sweeping motion, slightly overlapping treated areas. Complete coverage is
important, especially in shaded areas. Once control is established, the less frequently you’ll
need to apply. To ensure you’re fully treating your pest problem, we recommend using it in
conjunction with the Flea & Tick Spray for Pets + Home.
For Prevention and maintenance:
For ongoing control, apply every 30-45 days, or as needed. Higher concentrations and year-round use may enhance results.

How does Wondercide work?
How do you kill some bugs, not other bugs? Cedar oil affects octopamine. Octopamine is
essential for pheromone-driven pests such as fleas, mites, mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, ants, and hundreds of other pests. Octopamine is involved in regulating the pest’s heart rate,
movement, and behavior. Cedar oil blocks the pest’s octopamine neurotransmitter receptors and
repels pests from the area. Upon contact, the pests will suffocate. Cedar oil is safe for
mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and beneficial insects. Because they do not utilize
octopamine neurotransmitters like pheromone-driven pests.

Will Wondercide leave an oily residue or Stain?
No. While Wondercide products are oil-based, they dry rather quickly, leaving dogs, cats,
furniture, bedding, and flooring grease and stain-free. For specialty fabrics such as satin, leather, and suede, we recommend testing a discreet area prior to a full application
